Xavier VALLS (1923)
Lithograph on paper signed and numbered E.A. (“épreuve d'auteur” - artist’s proof) with dedication to Henriette and André.
Henriette and André Gomès worked at Galerie Pierre Loeb in Paris and handled exhibitions for Miró and numerous other avant-garde artists for a long time. Henriette Gomès was also friends with Picasso and Balthus who she visited often. The exhibition “Le regard d’Henriette” (Henriette’s Eye) held at Picasso Museum at Antibes and was a tribute for her intense artistic activity.
Xavier Valls is the father of French politician, Manuel Valls.
