Polychrome wood child Krishna (Bālakrishna)
Richly dressed, Krishna is in the seated position. The palm of his hands are facing up and cupped for holding two butter balls. The young Krishna adored butter and pilfered it often from his foster mother Yasoda’s kitchen. His outlines and attire are designed with shining polychrome.
