Green wax, almond-shaped (110 x 74 mm [4-1/3 x 2-7/8 in.]) with red and green silk lacing remains. Seal: the crowned queen standing in a Gothic architecture, holding a scepter; two shields. Barely legible caption [S IOHANNE DI GRA FRANCORU ET NAVARR REGINE, CAPAN ET BE COTISSE PAL] Counter-seal: shield with one part of France, other divided part of Navarre and Champagne. One missing section, with loss of few letters along caption. Philip IV [the Fair], King of France (1285) married in 1284 Joan of Navarre who died in 1305. He became King of Navarre and Count of Champagne.
