Valentin Savtcheko was born in Russia in 1955. After his studies at the Repin Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg, he became member of TEII Council (association of experimental visual art). Showing the influence of Kandinsky, Fionov and Malevich in his works, he created his pictorial style “Sens-Art” in 1987. In 1989, he exhibited in St. Petersburg where the press declared him one of the most important contemporary Russian artists.
While in Paris in 1990, he realized a new series of paintings where the triangle becomes the main symbol of his works that combine playing with lights and reliefs.
