NEVERS.
Multi-lobed, earthenware plate with polychrome decor of three orders in a medallion encircled with a tied blue ribbon in the centre, a spade flanked by a cross and sword surrounded by three flaming hearts, handle enhanced atop with a flail and rake. Stylized twigs and blossoms on the outer rim.
Yellow fillet along the border.
18th Century.
Diameter: 23 cm (9 in.)

We are including a later plate decorated with a village in the centre with a pole surmounted by a red Phrygian hat. Stylized green and manganese foliages and blue, hemmed fillet along the borders.
Early 19th Century.
Diameter: 23 cm (9 in.)
Cracks along the border and very slight chips.
