Tristan BERNARD

Autograph letter signed to his “cher Picamillo”. [Bréhat], Saturday morning
One bi-folded sheet (four written pages). Signature

The writer just arrived the night before to [Bréhat] after an adventurous train trip from Chartres: he thought he had scabies, but it was only hives, his bladder was burning in Guingamp, he had a two-hour stop in ch .... of the station and a cheap tram that ran from Guingamp to Paimpol, where his daughter in law was waiting; then heroic crossing lasting 45 minutes on a small boat.
François is full of mischief and good humor. Nicolas is a kind of 3-1/2 year old demi-god, which explains the picture books with interpretations from his disconcerting imagination. I do not know why we do not spend our lives listening to the children, and not ignoble grownups, with narrow minds, who speak like censored newspapers [I exempt a few great people, a fat pig and a satyr]).
