Valuation : 3 750 €
Price with buyer commission VAT included

Lacquered stucco head of monk or Nat with blue and red color traces. The hairstyle reveals traces of lacquer and blue coloring. Wide forehead, arched and blue-outlined eyebrows, long and straight nose, mouth with thin lips and half-moon smile. Incised eyes are incrusted with blue mother of pearl. The emerging head has a certain realism with soft touch.
Back of head is flat and not modeled because it is affixed to temple wall and seen only from the front. The technique is quite visible, composed of modeled brick core covered with pre-made moulded elements. Each facial detail is personalized by the artist.
