Stone crowned lady’s head, 16th Century


Limestone crowned lady’s head sculpted free-standing with feint polychrome traces. Face with large forehead, almond-shaped eyes, thin lips: hair held by headband and falling freely in the back, high-collar blouse; crown with beaded frieze, scrolls and large fleur-de-lys alternating with trefoils.
