Small pewter plate known as PATENE with decoration in center depicting an equestrian portrait of Ferdinand II and outer rim with emperors from the House of Habsburg within captioned medallions alternating with floral compositions and human masks.

Counter maker’s marks for Georges SCHMAUSS master status in 1628, millesime 1630 and illegible initial on central medallion.

Circa 1630-1640

Diameter: 19,8 cm (7-3/4 in.)

Very rare model, one example in the collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum.

Condition report : Small hanging hole on outer rim and small star-shaped crack on the joining of the outer rim and inner rim.
