Silver, iron and amber seal. Tibet, 19th-20th Century


Seal composed of chiseled silver plating with foliaged and animal decoration, enclosing an amber element. The engraving represents a sea conch shell engraved upon a circular iron base.
This type of seal was used by lamas and important figures such as merchants and government officials.

Tibet, 19th or Early 20th Century
