SEVRES. Plate from the Petites vues de France service.



Plate from the "petites vues de France" (Small views from France) polychrome service decorated in the centre with a round medallion with a view of a cottage and figures, encircled with a gilt Greek frieze. Braided wave pattern, gilt frieze of palmettes, foliate garland and gilt inscription "Une chaumière en Franche-Comté" (A cottage in Franche-Comté) along the border on a lavender blue ground.
Gilt fillet along the rim and around the heel.

Marked Sèvres year 1861 and decorated in 1868 and moulder's incised inscription.
Marked V in green along the heel's interior.

Napoleon III service at Élysée Palace.

Dimensions: 24 cm (9-1/2 in.).

In good condition.
