René Dardel was one of the most important Neo-Classical architects from Lyon. He orchestrated the restoration of Palace of Fine Arts, creation of Rue Impériale, Palais du Commerce, theater restoration, tombs, townhouses, country homes, industrial establishments, etc. His distinctions include being a member of the General Council for Rhône. This architecture blue print, influenced by Palladianism, without a doubt was realized by the artist for the Beaux-Arts de Paris where he enlisted in 1817.
