Rare porcelain bowl. China, Yongzheng Period


Rare porcelain bowl, painted underglaze blue and embellished with enamels from a large Famille Rose palette : antimony yellow, manganese brown, pink shades, emerald green and pale green and red over glaze. Basin decorated with a large iris and a plum tree branch, inner rim ornated by a polychrome frieze and outer rim with two unravalled parchments aswell as two painted pomegranates in reserve against a cobalt-coloured ground. Pomegranates in the interior, prunus branches and flitting birds. On the two unravalled parchments, squirrels running on vine branches. On reverse side, stylized foliage.
