Porcelain plate with gadrooned borders. China, Kangxi Period


Porcelain plate with gadrooned borders with decoration of underglaze milky, blood-red and gilt enamel. Painted Buddhist wheel and four blooming peony branches in center. Outer rim ornated with sectioned trellis frieze of four reserves. Flowered branches underneath.

China, Kangxi Period (1662-1722)

Diameter: 24 cm (9-1/2 in.).

Two minor chips. Minor wear on decoration. Slight firing flaws
