Porcelain plate painted in Famille Vert enamels (wucai), on the basin, a phoenix flying amongst insects close to a thicket of peonies in full bloom or blossoms. Four floral running scrolls along the inner rim. On the outer rim, four cartouches decorated with carps and prawns against a trellis ground. Double encirclement on reverse side.
