Engraved brass and partly silvered pocket sun dial known as “universal equinoctial dial” . Openwork lead suspension point.
Plate engraved with European cities with their latitudes, signed “Johann Willebrand in Augsburg 48”.

Germany circa 1700.

One identical example is in the collections of Museum of History of Science, Oxford, and another at the Louvre (OA 10710).
