Tripod plated ware metal pitcher, atop claw feet, attachments ornated with palmettes, waterleaves frieze, rosaces, and spout designed as horse’s head. Ebonized wood handle.

Maker’s mark of Jacques Augustin GANDAIS

Restored accident on handle. Very minor deformation on lid.

Jacques Augustin GANDAIS worked in Paris at 42, Rue du Ponceau. His shop was located at 118 du Palais Royal. In 1842 he was appointed plater to King Louis-Philippe.
