Re-printed map by Gomboust from 1652, one of the most famous during the 17th century, the first of this type to realized on such a large scale.
Two cartouches with coat of arms, one with Louis XIV’s and other of Chancellor Séguier’s, to whom the map is dedicated to, and 25 small views of “maisons royales et remarquables aux environs de Paris” (royal and remarkable houses around the outskirts of Paris).
