Pair of circular silvered metal chafing dishes standing on four feet with acanthus foliage and shell pattern. Scroll and foliage side handles.
Silversmith : Jacques-Augustin Gandais.

Louis-Philippe period.

Height : 10 cm (3-9/10 in.)- Width : 32 cm. (12-3/5 in.)


Jacques-Augustin Gandais worked in Paris 42, Ponceau street. His shop was set 118, Palais Royal. In 1842, he was appointed King Louis-Philippe’s silversmith.
