Pair of porcelain plates with decoration of underglaze milky, blood-red and gilt enamel. Painted phoenix perched on peony branch in center. Outer rim with six reserves ornated with flowered branches. Marked with double encirclement underneath.

China, Kangxi Period (1662-1722)

Diameter: 21 cm (8-1/4 in.).

Minor chip on one. Other with crack and flaking
