Milk and blood porcelain dish. China, Kangxi Period


Porcelain dish with decoration moulded as lotus flower and painted with “milk and blood” palette of iron red and gilt.
The center is decorated with two ladies seated around a table with two bowls and flower vase.
Around them, a landscape with a barrier, weeping willow branches and one pierced boulder. Inner rim radiating with central medallion composed of frieze with alternating flower vases and peony flower branches.
Trellis frieze on outer frieze.

China, Kangxi Period (1662-1722), circa 1700

Diameter: 22 cm (8-1/2 in.).

Minor wear on enamel and minor chips
