Wood marriage chest designed as reliquary.
Traditional chest offering during weddings. The bride places her jewelry and personal items in it. A small door is in center on slant and can be locked with padlock. Rosaces decorations ornate the chest’s partition. Mounted atop four small feet.

Northern India, Rajasthan or Gujarat, 19th Century-Early 20th Century.
