Mario Buccellati created his first high jewellery store in Milan in 1919. Quickly successful in Rome and Florence, the brand spreaded abroad. In 1956, Mario Buccellati opened his first store in the United States on fifth avenue. Since his death in 1965, the brand has been managed by his five children. The Buccellati style is reknown for its fiddly and light creations. The finely chased gold lace rings stay today the emblem of the Italian collections.
