Signed letter (secretary) to M. de Tancin, counselor to France’s State Council, First President of Chambery Senate. Versailles, February 26, 1693. 1 pp in-folio, address on verso.

The king announces to the Savoy Senate a new tax levy (an overall capital per deceased and family in all of the Kingdom’s extant and territories of obedience...). He demands that there is no opposition a the new levy while registering. The letter is addressed to Antoine Guérin de Tencin (1641-1705), Mortar President of Parliament at Grenoble, first President of Senate of Chambéry, father of cardinal and the famous Mme de Tencin.
