Large pewter wine flagon, 17th Century

Bell-shaped pewter wine flagon called “Glockenkanne”. Fitted with canted spout terminating with articulated hinged flap and bayonet lid surmounted with vertical loop. Inlaid shield bearing the owner’s mark, dated, engraved A.X.F. 1700

Maker’s mark of Adam WÜSCHER, master status circa 1643 : ram head / A.W. 43.
