Large Regency style mantle clock in Boulle marquetry with shiny fillets of brass over a red tortoise shell ground. Chiseled bronze ornamentation of foliage and scrolls. At the top, the Roman Goddess Fama, victorious, blowing a trumpet and holding a palmette. Visible interior and very bright due to large glassed surfaces, animated by an imposing and very fine sun balance oscillating in a decoration of Boulle marquetry. Large gilt bronze dial with twelve enamelled cartouches, clasp set in domed glass with key opening. Varnished marquetry on stamp.

Second Empire Period, circa 1850

Condition report : Very decorative object, in perfect condition. Movement revised by clock maker, in perfect functioning order with ring on hours and half hours.
