His whole life was a quest for extreme idealism that would be difficult to reconcile with reality. After classical studies, Jacques Brasilier entered Alphonse Mucha’s studio and quickly devoted himself to painting.
Sar Péladan, founder of the Rose + Cross, had a considerable influence, even pathing his career. Péladan encouraged and advised his early work and to deepen his craft by entering Armand Point’s studio.
Armand Point, very Rosicrucian, brought him to Fiesole, Italy. This trip was essential. Two key meetings: Fra Angelico and Francis of Assisi, Beauty and Holiness.
