Rectangular miniature on ivory, signed, dated 1819 and located “London” on right
Presented under glass within a case’s exterior sheathed with red Moroccan leather, interior lined with ivory-colored silk and clasp with two hooks
Height: 8,5 cm (3-1/3 in.) - Width: 7 cm (2-3/4 in.).
Good condition
Prince Achille, son of King MURAT, married in Tallahassee, Florida, Catherine Willis Gray (1803-1867, great grand-niece of the American President George Washington (1732-1799) on July 12, 1826. The marriage had no issue and the prince titles for Prince Achille were transmitted upon his death to his younger brother, Lucien Murat (1803-1878).
