Yamāntaka-Vajrabhairava and Shakti in gilt bronze.
Yamāntaka-Vajrabhairava is seen as the wrathful manifestation of Mañjushrī, the great Bodhisattva of wisdom. Very popular with the Gelugpa School of Tibetan Buddhism, it symbolises th triumph over death. He is represented here in a cosmic intertwining (yab yum) with Shakti Vajravetali.
