Four fine earthenware plates by Creil Montereau and monogramed, after Felix Braquemond with “fleurs et rubans” (flowers and ribbons) pattern service, 19th Century, circa 1879

“Tulip” plate. Multi-lobed plate with full polychrome decoration of tulip falling onto rim against an ivory ground. The flower is cruelly torn to join the movement of the leaf and ribbon. Blueish festoons on borders. Signed with monogram B for Braquemonnd under the motif. Marked underneath Creil Montereau B&Cie, Modèle Haviland & Cie à Paris.

“Anemone” plate. Multi-lobed plate with full polychrome decoration of white anemone with its corolla and pulpy bulbs with white refinement against an ivory ground with shapely ribbon. Blueish festoons on borders. Signed with monogram B for Braquemonnd under the motif. Marked underneath Creil Montereau B&Cie, Modèle Haviland & Cie à Paris.

“Poppy” plate. Multi-lobed plate with polychrome decoration of large poppy with gaping center by a flamboyant flower surrounded by shapely ribbon against an ivory ground. Blueish festoons on borders. Signed with monogram B for Braquemonnd under the motif. Marked underneath Creil Montereau B&Cie, Modèle Haviland & Cie à Paris.

“Cornflower”. Multi-lobed plate with polychrome decoration of cornflower blooming full surrounded by shapely ribbon against an ivory ground. Blueish festoons on borders. Signed with monogram B for Braquemonnd under the motif. Marked underneath Creil Montereau B&Cie, Modèle Haviland & Cie à Paris.
