Accidents and losses
Catherine of Sienna is clothed in Dominican habit, she bears the stigmata and may hold a crucifix, lily, book or heart in her hand. She is devoted to tending to the ill in hospitals. One moment in her life most represented is her receiving the stigmata, a scene probably invented in order to compete with the Franciscan Order.
