Fireplace screen and toolset. Rococo Style
Bronze and gilt metal screen and toolset of Rococo style.
Comprising:
- one sheet-iron folding fireplace screen fan with cut-out peacock motif, designed as folding fan around a gilt bronze base with shell motifs;
- one gilt bronze fire toolset comprising a stand, tongs, shovel and poker.
Circa 1880.
Height of fireplace screen : 66 cm (26 in.) - Height of toolset: 55 cm (21-1/2 in.).
