Cousineau harp, 18th Century


Moulded, carved, re-gilt and re-lacquered wood harp.
Column supporting crook-shaped crown carved with palm leaf and beads. Soundbaord decorated with Chinese motifs and bone and ebony threading. Soundbox with seven canted sides. Pierced neck presenting a cut-out brass panel signed Cousineau père et fils à Paris (Father and son). Foliaged arbalest foot with seven pedals.

Late 18th Century.
