One in-8 octavo volume, mourning black shagreen binding, gilt ex-dono on board, all edges gilt (binding of the era).
The coat of arms on third end paper are very finely executed with gouache and gilding. Ex-dono for Duke of Valnecay.

Minor abrasions on binding. Foxing.

Léopold de Bauffremont-Courtenay, son of Théodore (camp aid for Duke of Berry then Duke of Bordeaux) and Anne de Montmorency, born in 1825 and died in 1842 at the age of 17. By his mother he was the nephew by alliance of Napoléon-Louis de Talleyrand-Périgord, Duke of Valençay (1811-1898).
