Large bronze censer with brown patina. Vessel with relief decoration of chimeras, scroll handles, lid with decoration of dragons against a ground with pierced geometric motifs, chimera finial. Support with pierced rectangular base, topped with small pedestal with decoration of turtle, calligraphy lettering and four dragon-shaped columns.

Japan, Late 19th Century

Height: 52 cm (20-1/2 in.) - Width: 29 cm (11-1/4 in.)

Restoration and small solder mark on finial.
