16th Century Venetian Work attributed to Tiziano Aspetti or Giovanni Antonio Tavagni.

Height : 29,5 cm (11-1/2 in.) - Width : 22 cm (8-1/2 in.)

The Pierpont Morgan Collection in London in 1912 had a comparable bronze door knock signed Tavagni, produced by Bode.
Another almost identical door knocker was in the former collection of Bischoffsheim in Paris and was also produced by Bode like an anonymous Venetian, circa 1575.
