Bolas. South America, 19th-20th Century


Bolas composed of three heavy stone balls covered with leather skin and silver-plating with leather braids.

South America (Argentina?), 19th-20th Century

Diameter ball: approx. 6 cm (2-1/3 in.)

The bolas was to be thrown around the animal’s feet to stop them and prevent escaping.
