The painter Louis Marie Jullien donated his studio and contents in 1981 to the Aubusson Musée Départemental de la Tapisserie. An exhibition "Hommage à Louis Marie Jullien" (Tribute to Louis Marie Jullien) was held at the same museum, March-June 1983. The present tapestry is cited on p. 14 of the catalogue.

This unique example of a beautiful, abstract composition was realized for the Société Berthier. Weaved in wool on cotton warp, the tapestry is in a good state of condition, but the colors are relatively faded, nevertheless the harmony is still beautiful.
