Amphora with twisted stirrup handle


Amphora with twisted stirrup handle. Ovoid body ornated with standing lady wearing peplos facing left and holding mirror. Other side, standing half-nude man holding annular crown. Two large palmettes framed by Baroque scrolls between them. Slightly concave upper rim is decorated with lady's profile styled with sakkos, facing right, two palmettes and vegetable motif. Ochre terra-cotta with black glaze, white heightening.
Wear and limestone deposit. Intact.
