A sculptor of allegorical representations, Louis-Charles Janson participated in numerous exterior decorations as well as monumental statuary sculptures notably for Opera Garnier, for the Palais de Louvre and also for the Hotel de Ville in Paris. Certain of his works can be found in the collections of the Troyes Museum and the Versailles Castle Museum.
