Pair of baluster-shaped, porcelain vase enameled with polychrome decor of medallions of birds and roosters against a turquoise ground of flowers and foliated scrollwork and stylized shu characters. The upper section and rim ornated with chimeras and gilded dragons in relief.

Canton, Late 19th Century.

Pierced hole for electricity. The rim for one vase previously broken and re-glued. Brass mounting.

Height: 41 cm (16 in.).
