History of the firm:


André Portier, Thierry's grandfather, organized his first auction of Chinese and Japanese Art in Paris in 1908. His name was related to the sales of major French collections such as Corbin, Gonse, Gust, Charles et Georges Haviland, Migeon, Pouyanne, Vever, Vignier etc.
His son Guy Portier joined his father's business in 1942 and worked with him until his death in 1963. Ten years later, his son Thierry joined the family business.
