After studying Law and Art History Eric Turquin received his diploma of Commissaire-Priseur (auctioneer) in 1977. From 1977 to 1979 he worked as an intern for Paul Touzet, who was at this time one of the three Parisian experts specialized in Old Master paintings. Then, from 1797 to 1987 he worked for Sotheby's in London, first as a catalogue editor, then as an Old Masters expert, and eventually as Head of the Old Master paintings Department.
In September 1987, he settled as a freelance expert. Member of the SFEP, he works for Tajan, Piasa and most of the great Parisian and provincial auction houses as an Old Master paintings expert.
Chantal Mauduit joined Eric Turquin's firm in 1994. After studying at the University and at the École du Louvre, she worked with Louis Ryaux, an Old Master paintings expert in Paris. From 1987 to 1989, she first worked in the auction hosue Philip's in Paris and then as the manager of the Galerie Meissner, Quai Voltaire. Nowadays, she lectures at Drouot-Formation. She also edited the catalogue of Jacques Dumont's work under the supervision of Pierre Rosenberg.
