Gilted and patinated bronze pendulum clock ornated with a figure, Father Time who holds the clock movement.

Socle of yellow marble from Siena on four feet of winged claws.

Movement signed Leroy à Paris.

Early 19th Century (modified movement, balance replaced by a spiral).

Height: 43 cm (17 in.), Width: 26 cm (10-1/4 in.), Depth: 12 cm (4-3/4 in.)


A similar model is conserved in the collections of the Moblier National à Paris, provenance of the former Ministère des Finances at the Louvre.
The model was published in an engraving, edited in the "Journal de Paris" dated May 4, 1810.
