Alphonse Amédée CORDONNIER (1848-1930).
Patinated bronze statue representing a "Hérault d'arms" (Herald of arms) holding a trumpet.
Titled on the base "Hérault d'Armes XVème siècle Hôtel de Ville de Paris" (Herald of Arms XV Century Hôtel de Ville of Paris).
Alphonse Amédée Cordonnier made numerous journeys to Rome and exhibited at the Salon de Paris in 1874 and 1875.
He was awarded the grand prize for sculture in 1877.
He received commissions for La Sorbonne, le Grand Paris, l'Hôtel de Ville of Paris and Tours, various monuments in Lille (his birthplace) and Roubaix.
